Gasoline Prices at All-Time High

The cost of gasoline is at an all-time high across the country, with the steepest prices in California. The latest Lundberg Survey finds that the average price for a gallon of gas is up 29 cents a gallon since December.

The survey found that highest prices in Southern California, at $2.12 a gallon in San Diego and $2.10 in Los Angeles. But a report from AAA found that San Francisco had the highest prices at an average of $2.23 a gallon.

The Lundberg Survey said there's not much chance of prices falling in the near future. Gas prices often go up in the spring as some refineries shut down to prepare for the summer. This year, inventories were already low, making the problem worse. The Lundberg Survey said Memorial Day travel and even the extra hour from daylight savings time will also increase demand."

...

So I guess my Chevron with $2.07 for regular is good? Good thing the Little Red Demon takes regular and not SuperPlus with Techron Gold or whatever.

When it hits $2.40 this summer, I'm going to start taking the bus, man.
